Episcopal Church Marriages Plunge by Two Thirds
Wonder if any ELCAers have buyer’s remorse, having bought into Called to Common Mission in 1999. This agreement with the Episcopal Church required the ELCA to change its constitution and gradually adopt an Episcopal structure. After all, sacramental bishops, priests, and deacons require miters, pectoral crosses, stoles, ceremonies, rules, and regulations that show their special powers and distinguish their ranks. Worry about marriage and the family? Why bother? And yet, who will pay for all the clergy?
