Faithkeepers is film on the current persecution of Christians and other minorities in the Middle East. For example, one refugee interviewed is the Rev. Majed El Shafie, an Egyptian Muslim who converted to Christianity, resulting in imprisonment and a death sentence. He escaped on a personal watercraft (a “Jet-Ski”) to Israel, where he was imprisoned again, and then he finally made it to Canada. Pastor Charles Stevenson recently saw the film at a Jewish synagogue on Boston’s north shore. He reports on the film here and the discussion afterwards here.
