Kalin on Inspiration

Everett Kalin, former New Testament professor at Concordia Theological Seminary, shows that decisions made by the early church about which letters and books to include in the canon were based on whether those writings were trustworthy in their witness (orthodox), rather than whether they were “inspired.”

In the attached text, eminent New Testament professor, Lee M. McDonald, summarizes Kalin’s highly regarded scholarship on “inspiration” and “orthodoxy.”
