Moralists, social reformers, ideologues, revolutionaries, and even just plain zealous religious people may no doubt find this frustrating and maddening, but it is of the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">very essence<\/span> of the matter. Whenever a cause is exempted from the negation, so as to exert a pressure which destroys this freedom, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">we come to a serious parting of the ways.<\/span>\u201d<a href=\"#_ftn1\">[1]<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cThe Gentiles are not obligated to obey Moses.
