{"id":919,"date":"2010-06-25T13:55:55","date_gmt":"2010-06-25T20:55:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/crossalone.us\/?p=919"},"modified":"2010-06-25T14:03:00","modified_gmt":"2010-06-25T21:03:00","slug":"the-apostle-paul-on-the-misuse-of-galatians-328","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/crossalone.us\/?p=919","title":{"rendered":"The Apostle Paul On the Misuse of Galatians 3:28"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s as if Paul could foresee the misuse, how many would mistake this verse for a social program, even the key verse in all of his writings.<\/p>\n<p>So he writes:\u00a0 \u201cI mean\u2026..,\u201d to point out what he means (Galatians 4:1).<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>1.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0It is not a social program.\u00a0 Paul understood the world was coming to an end within his generation.\u00a0 There was no time for a social program, but only for spreading the Gospel as far and wide as possible in the time remaining.<br \/>\nSee 1 Corinthians 7:17-31; 15:51-52; 1 Thessalonians 4:15.<\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u201cI mean,\u201d he writes, that you are no longer slaves, under the law, but through baptism sons (and daughters), heirs, free from the law (Galatians 4:1-7; cf. 3:21).<\/p>\n<p>3.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u201c(B)ut now that you have come to know God, or rather to be known by God\u2026.\u201d (Galatians 4:8), how can you let those artificial divisions into chapters and verses, added later, separating Galatians 3:29 from 4:1, distort what I mean: the Gospel itself?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s as if Paul could foresee the misuse, how many would mistake this verse for a social program, even the key verse in all of his writings.
