Who\u2019s fooling whom?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two ELCA congregations \u2013 Roseville Lutheran (Roseville,  MN) and First Lutheran (Freeport,  IL) were recently <a href=\"http:\/\/www.elca.org\/Who-We-Are\/Our-Three-Expressions\/Churchwide-Organization\/Communication-services\/News\/Releases.aspx#&amp;&amp;a=4617\" target=\"_blank\">honored<\/a> for giving a combined total of $830,000 to the ELCA for mission.<\/p>\n<p>Did they increase the Global Mission budget by $830,000?\u00a0 Nope.<\/p>\n<p>Because the ELCA operates on a unified budget, it\u2019s not possible to increase money for mission.
